When you have the right grapes, planted in the right climate and raised by watchful folks, you don’t have to add anything. This is why we are in love with the La Cruz Vineyard. It lies right in the path of cool ocean breezes that get pulled into the Sonoma and Napa Valleys. This keeps the grapes on a very slow but consistent ripening schedule. The result is absolutely beautiful fruit that our winemaker Michel Berthoud loves working with because...well, because they naturally produce wines like this.The wine is crisp, balanced and supple with aromas and flavors of cherry, raspberry, with just a touch of vanilla, slate and cola. Best cellared for at least six months.
